Nikka Tailored is a Japanese blended whisky bottled at 43% ABV. It is crafted using whiskies from Nikka Whisky’s two core distilleries: single malt whisky from the Yoichi Distillery in Hokkaido, which provides a firm structure with fruity depth and character, alongside whiskies from the Miyagikyo Distillery in Miyagi Prefecture, complemented by Coffey Grain Whisky from the same distillery, adding smoothness, roundness, and delicate sweetness. The overall blending style emphasizes balance and layered complexity, showcasing notes of ripe fruits, honey, and chocolate, while maintaining a refined and approachable texture that reflects the elegant modern style of Japanese blended whisky.<br/><br/>On the nose, Nikka Tailored reveals rich aromas of ripe fruits such as apple, apricot, and candied citrus peel, accompanied by hints of honey, milk chocolate, and gentle vanilla. The palate is smooth and rounded, opening with flavors reminiscent of vanilla biscuits, caramel, and toffee sweetness, before evolving into subtle layers of coffee beans and cocoa bitterness at mid-palate. The structure remains balanced without becoming overly heavy. The finish is soft and lingering, featuring delicate oak character and refined fruit sweetness, resulting in an elegant and harmonious whisky that perfectly showcases the finesse and craftsmanship of Nikka’s blending philosophy.
