Yoichi malt whisky is renowned for its bold and powerful character, featuring refined peatiness and smoky notes derived from traditional coal-fired direct distillation. During maturation, the sea breeze from Ishikari Bay imparts a subtle saline nuance to the whisky.<br/><br/>Color: Gold.<br/>Nose: Gentle peat smoke and salinity at first, followed by candied citrus fruits (lemon and orange), black licorice, spices (nutmeg and ginger), roots, dry branches, and rich floral aromas (carnation and iris).<br/>Palate: Full-bodied and smooth, with layers of peat, smoke, spices, fresh fruits (melon and kiwi), nuts (almond and walnut), and chocolate.<br/>Finish: Long and silky, revealing ripe fruits (pear and yellow plum), herbal and malty notes, fresh oceanic salinity, along with spices (coriander and dill), leather, and chestnut.<br/><br/>Recommended Serving Style: Neat or on the rocks.<br/>Suggested Pairings: Seafood, fish dishes, or blue cheese.
