VTG 2017 to Help You Net Business Opportunities and Broaden Connections

The 17th edition of Vietnam International Textile & Garment Industry Exhibition and Vietnam International Textile & Apparel Accessories Exhibition, collectively known as VTG 2017, will run in tandem on November 22-25 at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC), Ho Chi Minh City. This is the second time for VTG to take place at the spacious new venue to accommodate more exhibitors.

The event is officially organized by Vietnam National Trade Fair & Advertising Joint Stock Company (VINEXAD) and Yorkers Trade & Marketing Service Co., Ltd. (YORKERS), and co-organized by Guangdong Sewing Equipment Chamber Commerce (GDSEWING), Hong Kong Apparel Machinery Association (HKAMA), and Paper Communication Exhibition Services (PAPERCOM). Booming Market Attracts Substantial FDI

Despite the U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), international investors have remained optimistic about great market potentials in Vietnam bolstered by the country’s stable economic growth. Vietnam attracted US$21.93 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) during the first seven months of 2017, shooting up 52% from the same period of 2016, for the highest annual growth rate of its kind since 2011, according to the latest statistics released by the Foreign Investment Agency. In terms of export performance, Vietnam’s textile and garment sectors scored US$14.58 billion in outbound shipments in the first six months of the year, representing a significant annual increase of 11.3%.

As a major driver behind the growth of Vietnam’s garment industry, the VTG has been well recognized by many renowned international brands as a very useful conduit for tapping into the booming Vietnam market. This year, over 12,000m² exhibition space are used to house 400 exhibitors from 17 countries and regions, namely Australia, Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, Kingdom of Bahrain, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Republic of Uzbekistan, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam. The strong presence of foreign exhibitors underscores the high internationalization of this mega event.

Grand Gathering of Leading Global Brands

The event highlights the complete value chains for textile and garment sectors, covering Textile and Apparel Processing Machines, Accessories, Fibers, Filament, Yarn and Fabrics, with as many as 400 exhibitors gathering under one roof to showcase the state-of-the-art machines and solutions catering to Vietnam’s market needs. Among main exhibits are a variety of sewing machines, such as 4-thread super high speed overlock sewing machine with auto trimmer from China’s leading supplier TYPICAL, and high-end computerized industrial sewing machine from HIKARI, one of the world's largest manufacturers in the line.

For apparel digital printing, NANTEX will showcase SCHENK textile screen printing machine, originally made in Germany. Three top specialists in embroidery operation, BARUDAN, TAJIMA and ZSK, will also bring high-caliber embroidery machines such as single head embroidery machines and multi head embroidery machine, which are cost-effective and high-performance models ideal for small enterprises as entry-level equipment. In terms of dyeing machine, Turkey producer CANLAR will highlight HT fabric dyeing machine, which is suitable for processing all kinds of heavy and light knitted and woven fabrics in tubular or open-width forms.

In addition, NGAI SHING will present machinery equipment needed for almost all aspects of garment production lines: cutting room equipment, shirts assisting, seam fusing, auto-sewing, stackers, industrial laundry, chemical dipping and curing oven, and anti-wrinkle pressing and ironing. Other exhibits such as Cotton, Fiber, Yarn, Fabric and Accessories will be displayed by numerous international companies with main exhibits covering all kinds of fabrics such as woven fabric, knitting fabric, functional fabric, waterproof fabric, and jacket fabric, as well as a broad range of industrial sewing machine needles, textile chemicals, and other accessories for garment.

As always, a series of fringe programs will be held during the show period.
