Smart Manufacturing Era Looms, Driven by Internet of Everything (IoE) Data

Industry 2.0 heralds the advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution featuring the introduction of smart factories. Despite their lack of intersection in the past, information technology (IT) and industrial control industries are now beginning to engage in dialogues, as all the manufacturing equipment will become mutually communicable through internet connection to make the entire production process more agile. In the future, those who can respond quickly to market changes and turn out products of great diversity will lead the industry. In this regard, cloud computing and big data will become a more important support behind them.

For those industries requiring high precision in production process, such as semiconductor, display panel, and printed circuit board (PCB) industries, extremely strict requirements are set for automation applications. The production processing equipment requires more the application of highly-developed precision positioning control technology. How to boost equipment competitiveness and production capacity through equipment automation solutions is among the goals equipment manufacturers are eager to accomplish. Smart manufacturing carried out by high-tech industries has spawned the transformation and upgrading of secondary industries. In the Taiwan Electronic Equipment Industry Association, for instance, some member firms engaged in semiconductor and display industries, have extended their automation experiences to textile, footwear, food processing, pharmaceutical and PCB industries, with  electronic parts and components well demanded for applications in different industries.

In the era of the Internet of Everything (IoE), it’s imperative to know how to use a smart Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) system interoperable and compatible with any industrial standards to effectively connect all smart facilities, industrial machines, operators, operation process, and data to reduce manpower, time and operating sophistication needed in the future industrial applications and production process and facilitate quick responses to market changes. If you can do so, you will be likely to become a winner in the age of Industry 4.0.  

In its entirety, smart manufacturing not only involves a close combination of software, hardware and big data analysis to achieve smart production, but also aims to allow enterprises to fulfill their concept of sustainable development onto business management and product development and to reutilize recycled resources in the production process. The three-day Smart Manufacturing & Monitech Taiwan 2017 will run Sept. 20-22 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Hall. It is not only Taiwan’s unique exhibition associated with ICT, semiconductor and display industries, but also a professional show of advanced smart manufacturing technologies. The event is virtually a grand feast of high-tech exchanges, highlighting the convergence of advanced core technologies and showcasing their applications in industrial upgrading, transformation, and innovation.

The show will not only focus on smart applications with a comprehensive presentation of achievements in the regard, but will also gain steam from Touch Taiwan 2017 held simultaneously to help makers better understand the latest innovative applications in smart manufacturing.  

Through this exchange platform, we will also arrange united procurement conference and guided tour of the show for foreign buyers, so as to help them establish complete procurement information systems and allow opportunities for exhibitors to present their latest technologies and products.
