Winner of the Double Gold Medal at the 2024 San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC).<br/>Da'an, Taichung, is the home of ABAS; here, we present a "Local Heritage" series of unblended, cask-strength spirits. This sorghum spirit is crafted from the "first cut" of distillate—the initial run from pure-grain solid-state fermentation. Bottled as a single-batch, undiluted, and unblended spirit, it stands as a pure expression of its origins—much like the historic "Huwei Cuo" residence—serving as a tribute to the rich culture of Da'an. Upon the first encounter, elegant floral notes seem to bloom in the air. As you taste it, the spirit glides smoothly across the palate, releasing the sweetness of toffee on the tip of the tongue, followed by a subtle, fruity tang of grapefruit. The finish leaves behind a lingering, serene, and refreshing grain aroma—evoking the feeling of a leisurely stroll through Da'an’s historic streets, where one can savor the quiet beauty of time and the depth of its cultural heritage.
