"Hai Niang" (Ocean-Brewed) is the third release in the ABAS Heritage Series. Its name draws inspiration from the coastline of Taichung’s Da’an District, where the distillery is located. While the spirit was originally crafted in connection to the sea, it has now earned its name through that very process; this expression seeks to evoke the essence of the ocean, bridging the distillery’s narrative with its unique geographical setting.<br/>The name "Hai Niang" reflects not only the distillery's location but also the complex flavor profile of the sorghum spirit. It balances the characteristic sweetness of sorghum with a unique, savory-sweet note reminiscent of sea salt—a subtle yet distinctive touch that serves as a signature hallmark of the ABAS Distillery.
