The laser industry has become a key industry in the modern era and the technology is used in a wide range of industries. The high-power industrial laser, flat panel displays, solar power, LED, smart phone, security surveillance, biomedical care and consumer electronics shows all involve laser-based applications or processes. It can be truly said that we now live in an age of "light processes and applications".

To further develop the laser application industry and help laser applications secure a key role in each industry, the Association will organize the "Taiwan Laser Industry Show" in 2013 to promote laser applications. This international show will bring together people from industry, government and universities in Taiwan and overseas along the themes of "Industrial Laser", "Medical Laser" and "Consumer Electronics Laser". We also organized the “Business Matching Area” and “The 5th Laser Industrial Forum” for the show, will hopefully highlight the importance of laser applications and its future possibilities to the world. The event is also intended to reach out to local and foreign laser experts so that they can meet to discuss new directions in laser applications. Industries interested in laser applications can also join the laser family to build a new emerging industry in Taiwan and create another economical miracle.
