Characteristic

Against a soft, cream-colored base that mimics sabitsuchi, a glaze reminiscent of suki-urushi (clear, amber lacquer) is sprayed on. The iron specks embedded in the base bring out the natural warmth of the clay, while the organic gloss unique to ceramics creates a calm, refined expression imbued with the spirit of Japanese wabi-sabi.

Because a reactive glaze is used for this product, the finish and texture will vary from piece to piece. We hope you will enjoy and embrace the unique character of each individual item.
