Following a year hiatus, VietnamWood 2022 - the 14th Vietnam International Woodworking Industry Fair and Furnitec 2022 - Vietnam International Furniture Accessories, Hardware & Tools Exhibition will present an in-person exhibition during October 18-21 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), with online platform scheduled from October 18-24. As the most trustworthy and iconic trade fair in Vietnam’s wood processing and furniture industry, VietnamWood along with Furnitec gather the world top manufacturers to showcase the innovative supply chains, top-end technologies and future development trends in one platform, draw visitors from across Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries.

Vietnam is undoubtedly a rising star in the woodworking and furniture manufacturing industries, with an export turnover of wood and wood products reached US$11,156 billion in the first eight months of 2022. It is also named as the world’s sixth largest exporter in this field with more than 4% of the global market, second largest in Asia, and biggest in the Southeast Asia, putting it under scrutiny from major trading partners. However, this promising market is still facing the problems of raw materials and modern machinery shortage, specifically expressed in the wood domestic supply which can only meet about 75% of the total processing demand, and the equipments in use which averagely produced in 2010.
