NDO – The Green Vietnam Fund was officially launched by the Vietnam Timber and Forest Product Association (VIFOREST) and several local wood associations on November 9, targeting to facilitate the sustainable development of Vietnam’s wood production and processing industry.

Accordingly, under the agreement reached at the launch in Ho Chi Minh City, timber enterprises are committed to strictly complying with the regulations in ensuring activities in import, export, exploitation, transportation, trading and processing of wood.

At the same time, they will work together to boost linkage and the development of a responsible market for wood use with transparency and conversion of imported tropical wood input into domestic plantation timber.

For the effective implementation of the agreement, each association has committed to developing their action plans under a specific roadmap while allocating enough resources to effectively realise their commitments.
