WRL connects different competition formats through four event levels, each with its own world-ranking points multiplier.

Level 1 | Regular / Submission Competition
Online registration and mailed roasted-coffee samples. Points multiplier: 1×.

Level 2 | Regional Sanctioned / Brand Co-organized Competition
Live events that follow WRL technical standards. Points multiplier: 2×.

Level 3 | International Open
Publicly available event information, with at least 50% of places reserved for international competitors. Points multiplier: 3×.

Level 4 | World Finals
Three representatives selected by each region compete on the world stage. Points multiplier: 4×.

These levels define event formats and points weights. Competitors do not have to progress through them in sequence; regional hosts determine how to select their World Finals representatives.
