Characteristic
Château Margaux is one of the five First Growths of Bordeaux, located in the Margaux appellation of the Médoc. As its quality kept rising over the centuries, Château Margaux came to be known as the "Queen of Wines." At the 1855 Exposition Universelle in Paris, it was ranked a Bordeaux First Growth (Premier Grand Cru Classé), securing its place among the world's most prestigious wine estates.

This wine first appeared in the 19th century under the name "Château Margaux Sauvignon Vin." Since 1920, it has been known as Pavillon Blanc du Château Margaux, and the name has never changed. Today, Pavillon Blanc also benefits from the estate's new cellar designed by Norman Foster. Its state-of-the-art facilities bring even greater precision and quality to winemaking, strengthening its position as one of Bordeaux's finest white wines.
