FCS Group made a remarkable presence at Chinaplas 2023, showcasing their comprehensive lineup of injection molding machine solutions across five different series, with a focus on the themes of "high speed" and "multi-component". Mr. Jerry Wang, Deputy Chairman of FCS Group and Chairman of Ningbo Company, had the opportunity to introduce FCS's latest achievement to a reporter from Jufeng Media—the Thin-wall Packaging Multi-component High-speed Injection Molding System SA-380h. This system represents a significant advancement as it integrates a multi-component injection system into a high-speed injection molding machine, enabling rapid production of two-component products. This breakthrough offers greater possibilities for applications in the multi-component industry. The showcased machine demonstrated the high-speed two-component injection molding of yogurt lids and spoons, featuring 12+12 openings and an impressive 5-second molding cycle. Additionally, the machine was equipped with an automatic in-mold labeling system, as well as a lid and spoon assembly system. These enhancements greatly improved production efficiency while reducing equipment and input costs for manufacturers. FCS anticipates that the SA-380h, along with the SA-h/p series, will find extensive application in the food packaging and medical industries. These solutions are designed to meet customer demands for high speed, precision, and cost-effectiveness. Mr. Jerry Wang shared that FCS received significant interest during the four-day exhibition, resulting in potential orders amounting to USD 6.45 million. Furthermore, nine machines were sold directly at the exhibition.

Among the impressive lineup of machines exhibited, there were four noteworthy models on display. First, the FB-230R Precise Power-Saving Multi-component Injection Molding Machine showcased the utilization of silicone and PC double material injection technology. At the event, a silicone and PC pen holder business card holder demonstrated the capabilities of this machine. Next, the CT-450e All-electric Yogurt Cup Injection Molding Machine was presented, featuring a 12-opening yogurt cup in-mold labeling system. This machine enabled unmanned production within a compact 40 square meter area, achieving an exceptional production cycle of just 5 seconds. The CT-280R All-electric Multi-component Injection Molding Machine was another highlight, specifically designed for the production of medical cell freezing tubes. Lastly, the SA-h PET series Blood Collection Tube Injection Molding Machine was exhibited.





In the global injection molding industry, FCS stands out as the preferred choice for multi-component injection machines, renowned for their reliability, high yield, and extensive customization options. Mr. Jerry Wang expressed his delight, stating, "In 2022, FCS Group achieved its highest-ever performance, with remarkable growth in revenue and profit." Notably, FCS's Ningbo Company, spanning an area of 50 mu and employing over 300 individuals, generated an impressive revenue of USD 84 million. Similarly, the Dongguan Company, occupying 21 mu and employing over 170 staff members, achieved a revenue of USD 38 million. These outstanding results showcased the exceptional efficiency of FCS's facilities, demonstrating how significant revenue could be generated within a compact factory space. Mr. Jerry Wang attributed this remarkable achievement to two primary factors: the continuous rise of the new energy automobile industry, and the hard work and dedication of all FCS employees.



Despite the outstanding efficiency and performance achieved by FCS's two factories in mainland China, the limited production capacity has posed a challenge, hindering fast delivery, impeding business growth, and impacting overall development. To address this limitation, FCS is taking proactive steps to expand its capabilities. The company is constructing a new factory in Hangzhou Bay, Zhejiang Province, with the aim of manufacturing large-scale two-platen injection molding machines exceeding 500 tons of clamping force. Additionally, the new facility will produce large two-component machines, large horizontal opposite two-platen two-component injection molding machines, and other specialized equipment. By integrating resources with the existing factories in Ningbo and Dongguan, FCS seeks to optimize the layout of large-scale injection molding machines and smart manufacturing processes. The establishment of the new factory in Hangzhou Bay will yield significant benefits, including a reduction in delivery time from the current 4-5 months to 2-3 months. Mr. Jerry Wang shared with the reporter that the new facility is scheduled to be completed and operational by June of this year. Upon reaching full operation, the factory has the potential to generate an annual output value ranging from USD 140 million to 160 million. Combined with the existing factory's output value of USD 69 million to USD 83 million, FCS's Ningbo Company will achieve an overall production scale of USD 200 million to 240 million. This places FCS in a highly competitive position within the industry.



FCS has established a prominent position in the auto parts industry with its multi-component, multi-material solutions. Throughout the years, the company has gained high recognition and trust from customers in this industry, accounting for nearly 60% of FCS's overall performance. The remarkable growth of China's new energy vehicle market, coupled with expanded production by key OEM customers such as Tesla and BYD, has further propelled the popularity of FCS's multi-component injection molding machines. However, Mr. Jerry Wang highlighted the potential risks associated with relying heavily on a single downstream application industry. Recognizing the importance of diversification, FCS is actively pursuing the development of new product series and establishing dedicated business teams to explore fresh market opportunities. The company aims to expand its presence in emerging fields such as packaging and medical applications. This strategic approach motivated FCS to showcase five new machines at the Chinaplas 2023 exhibition, signaling its commitment to expanding into new markets and industries.



One of the showcased models during this event, the CT-280R, exemplifies the injection molding process for "cell cryotubes" with a configuration of 16+16 holes using the two-component technique. This model integrates cutting-edge features such as fully automatic take-out, laser marking production system, and a remarkable 12-second molding cycle. By combining two-component electric technology with intelligent automation, this solution enables clean, unmanned, and highly efficient production for medical applications. Through this advanced manufacturing approach, FCS promotes the development of high-quality, low-carbon, and environmentally friendly products.

Mr. Jerry Wang shared his insights on the industry's development trends, particularly in the post-COVID-19 era. He emphasized that as the economy gradually recovers and consumer spending power improves, industries like new energy vehicles are witnessing significant changes in design and interior functionalities. In this context, the flexibility of production equipment becomes crucial to meet the rapidly evolving design requirements. Mr. Wang highlighted the importance of multi-component injection molding machines that can swiftly switch production between different raw materials, enabling cost savings and facilitating flexible order fulfillment. With innovative advancements in the appearance of new energy vehicles and the growing application of two-component technology in electronics and medical products, the demand for large-scale, electric, and precise multi-component injection molding machines is becoming increasingly apparent. To meet market demand, FCS has introduced all-electric two-component injection molding machines and ultra-large multi-component injection molding machines. For instance, FCS has developed machines with a capacity of 3,300 tons specifically for manufacturing large parts of new energy vehicles. In the packaging and medical consumables sectors, the efficiency and stability of equipment are crucial for maintaining consistent mass production. This necessitates intelligent management through scientific injection molding and factory processes. FCS machines are equipped with the self-developed iMF4.0 Intelligent Manu Factory Mucell, enabling production managers to monitor real-time production status and facilitate smart manufacturing. Mr. Wang also emphasized the growing focus on green practices, recycling, net zero emissions, and human health in plastic technology. In line with these priorities, FCS's research and development efforts will concentrate on the innovative application of advanced materials, recyclable products, and energy-saving processes to contribute to shaping a better world.




Looking ahead to the market in 2023, Mr. Jerry Wang outlined a projected pattern for FCS's performance. He noted that FCS achieved record-breaking results in 2017 and 2018, experienced a slight decline in 2019, and set new records in 2021 and 2022. Based on this trend, he forecasted a decline in performance for FCS in 2023. However, he remained optimistic, stating that even with a projected 10% drop, it would still mark the second-highest peak in the company's history. Therefore, he expressed confidence in FCS's performance for the year. Mr. Wang also highlighted two key aspects of FCS's future strategic plan. Firstly, the company will further solidify its expertise in multi-component technology within traditional industries such as automotive and electronics, while expanding the application of high-speed and all-electric models in industries like packaging and medical. Secondly, FCS intends to enhance its global presence by actively engaging in foreign trade and seeking greater opportunities in the vast global market. By focusing on market development and expanding international business efforts, FCS aims to embark on a new journey towards excellence. Mr. Wang concluded by mentioning an important milestone approaching in 2024, which will mark the 50th anniversary of FCS Group and the 40-year history of two-component machine development. This significant milestone reflects FCS's commitment to innovation and its determination to deliver exceptional solutions to customers worldwide.
