Ardnamurchan AD/ Sherry Cask Release 58% — the true king of sherry cask maturation, fully matured in sherry casks and the distillery’s peninsula warehouse. Since its founding in 2014, Ardnamurchan has been recognized four times as the Best Innovative Sustainable Distillery, using ancient barley varieties and traditional production methods. The distillery insists on the finest Spanish Jerez sherry casks, with 100% maturation in sherry casks, employing a mix of first-fill medium-sized Hogshead and smaller Octave casks to accelerate aging.<br/><br/>Ardnamurchan AD/ Sherry Cask Release was specially crafted for Taiwan with a golden sherry cask ratio, combining Pedro Xim&#233;nez (PX) and Oloroso casks to deliver a rich, complex, and fully sherry-matured flavor experience. The first Taiwan-limited edition, 48%, launched in 2023, was celebrated for its sweet, layered richness and quickly became a favorite among whisky enthusiasts. In 2025, Taiwan’s exclusive distributor, HotMalt, released a new batch — AD/ Sherry Cask Release 58% — matured entirely in rare PX and Oloroso Spanish Jerez casks, bottled at a robust 58% ABV, non-chill filtered, and with no added caramel coloring. This preserves the natural color and essence of the sherry cask liquid, fully showcasing Ardnamurchan’s masterful interpretation of sherry cask richness. Rather than focusing on age, the distillery emphasizes flavor themes, leading the pinnacle of peninsula whisky trends and demonstrating ultimate innovation in diverse cask usage.<br/><br/>AD/ Sherry Cask Release 58% greets the nose with rich chocolate and toffee aromas, intertwined with the sweet, vibrant scent of tropical fruits.
