Manzhuan, also known as Manzhuan Brick Tea, is located in the Mengla County of Xishuangbanna Prefecture, Yunnan Province, and is part of the ancient Six Great Tea Mountains region. Manzhuan Mountain borders Yiwu to the east and Yibang to the north, covering an area of approximately 300 square kilometers. During the Qing Dynasty, it had tea plantations exceeding ten thousand acres. The terrain and climate of Manzhuan Tea Mountain are unique, situated at a high latitude and high altitude with complex topography. It has a small annual temperature range and a large daily temperature variation, abundant rainfall, and a distinct dry and rainy season. Rainfall is uneven, with more in the south and less in the north. Under these conditions, the tea leaves from Manzhuan Tea Mountain exhibit distinct characteristics. Ancient tea forests are concentrated in Manzhuan and Manlin. Manzhuan has over 500 acres, and Manlin has over 1,000 acres, with tea trees growing well and densely, with about 100 trees per acre. The ancient tea forests are situated in high mountains and deep valleys, with rivers crisscrossing, surrounded by mist, ample sunlight, mild winters, and no harsh summers, providing excellent natural conditions for tea trees. Today, the ancient tea mountain of Manzhuan still retains 2,930 acres of ancient tea gardens, where most ancient tea trees grow in dense forests. The ancient tea trees here are of the large-leaf variety, with thick buds and leaves, abundant hairs, and strong tender properties. The tea leaves have a high and lasting aroma, rich flavor, and abundant internal substances. Brewed with water at 92-95°C, the tea liquor presents a honey-like brightness, a smooth taste, strong sweetness, and an elevated fragrance.
