Characteristic
Gua Fong Village is located in the northwest of Mengla County in Xishuangbanna and is a Yao ethnic village in the Yiwu tea region. Situated at an elevation of approximately 1200 meters, it is not too far from Yiwu but has a winding path. This area borders Laos, with a boundary marker located just seven kilometers from the village. Consequently, it was once a hidden paradise deep within the mountains. The village is nestled in a valley between two high mountains, with a river running through its center, surrounded by lush green hills and clear waters.

Guafeng Village is the highest-altitude village among the seven Yiwu villages and is also the area where ancient tea trees are most well-preserved. This region comprises six state-owned forests, which are national forest lands and state-level natural reserves. The ancestors lived and cultivated tea trees here, leaving behind their seeds, which contributed to the formation of the current state-owned forests.

When brewed at 92-95°C, the spring-picked new tea yields a brew that is sweet and mellow with a honey-like fragrance. The tea soup is clear and bright with rich gelatinous texture. The wild honey aroma is present in the brew, carrying the authentic flavor of Yiwu tea. The aftertaste is lingering and memorable, smoothly gliding down the throat, with a long-lasting wild mountain flavor that gradually unfolds. The tea leaves are tender, fresh, and even, with a strong resilience, and they exude occasional floral and fruity aromas.

Although raw Pu'er tea focuses on post-fermentation, the new tea from Guafeng Village also performs impressively. It features a natural and rich honey aroma within its sweetness and mellowness. The tea is smooth and delicate, yet it hides a strong but restrained tea essence. It has a subtle bitterness and astringency, with a prolonged and lingering aftertaste that soothes the heart and stomach. The beauty of its later transformation is notable; initially, the sweetness is prominent, with deep aftertaste and ample aroma. As it ages, the tea's soup becomes thicker and more flavorful, with bitterness and astringency diminishing and aged fragrance gradually emerging.

Product Name: tea4joy 2024 Gua Fong Zai Ancient Tree Type Raw Puerh Tea Cake 100g
Ingredients: Tea leaves
Net Weight: 100 g per tea cake
Best Before: Two years (unopened)
Origin: Yunnan, China
Packaging: Cotton paper wrap
Storage: Avoid high temperatures and humid conditions
Manufacturer: tea4joy Co., Ltd.
Store Address: No. 6-1, Lane 12, Yongkang Street, Daan District, Taipei City, Taiwan
Email: service.tea4joy@gmail.com
