Characteristic
Also known as Longtan Pouchong Tea, a lightly fermented oolong tea, it is a specialty of Longtan Township in Taiwan. "Longquan Piaoxiang" is its golden signature. In 1983, the then provincial chairman, Mr. Lee Teng-hui, named Longtan Pouchong Tea "Longquan Tea." Longquan Tea has a green appearance, and tightly rolled leaves, stemless, and dried tea possess a strong orchid fragrance. When brewed, the tea aroma is fragrant and the liquid is clear with a yellow-green hue. The taste of the tea is smooth, sweet, and mellow, with a strong aftertaste. It boasts five distinctive features: "fragrant, strong, mellow, rhythmic, and beautiful," making it one of the top ten famous teas in Taiwan.
