The half-body sleeping bag might not be suitable for everyone, but if you're an ultralight enthusiast, this extremely lightweight design and compact storage will challenge the industry standards. To achieve the lightest possible weight, we've eliminated unnecessary bulk and used premium ethical goose down with a fill power of 850+ FP, paired with an ultralight fabric—only 7 denier ripstop material that prevents down leakage. The box baffle construction prevents down shifting. For added warmth, wear a down jacket while sleeping, and the cold resistance will significantly improve. Once you try a half-body (Hybrid) sleeping bag, you may never go back to a full-body one.

The half-body sleeping bag has been around for some time but remains relatively rare on the market. For mountaineering purposes, you only need to cover the lower two-thirds of your body with the bag while wearing a down jacket for the upper body, effectively reducing backpack weight. For regular camping, the AG-200 is especially suitable for Taiwan's summers. In colder environments, you can pair the AG-200 with the Orion envelope sleeping bag for double the warmth.

Crafted in Taiwan with Taiwanese craftsmanship, the sleeping bag is built with 7D ripstop fabric that’s highly breathable, water-repellent, moisture-resistant, and downproof. The outer fabric’s sweat-wicking and breathability are ideal for Taiwan's humid mountain ranges between 1,000 and 3,000 meters.

The key to a down sleeping bag’s warmth lies in the quality and loft of the down. Each MCED sleeping bag in this series boasts a loft rating of 850+ FP and uses top-grade white down from a highly reputable down supplier in Taiwan. The down is meticulously cleaned, free from odor, and selected for its large, high-quality clusters.

Ethical Down

MCED sleeping bags use ethically sourced down (Ethical Down Standard), ensuring the down is produced in a humane and responsible way. The ethical certification ensures traceability and animal welfare at every stage of the supply chain, from farms to the insulating layer of jackets. This guarantees that no live-plucking or force-feeding is involved.

JIS 95/5

The down used in the sleeping bag is certified by the Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS), with a down-to-feather ratio of 95/5. This means the filling contains 95% down (a very high ratio) and 5% feathers. A higher percentage of down means better quality and warmth.

850+ FP

850+ FP (fill power) indicates that one ounce (30 grams) of down will expand to over 850 cubic inches after being compressed. Higher loft means less down is needed to achieve the same temperature rating, which is crucial for sleeping bag performance. The loft and quality of the down are independently tested by the International Down and Feather Laboratory (IDFL), and each MCED sleeping bag comes with a certification copy.

Box Baffle Construction

Down is spherical in shape and traps heat when lofted. Traditional sewn-through sleeping bags tend to flatten the down at the seams, allowing cold to seep through. MCED’s sleeping bags use an internal box baffle design, which not only provides thermal insulation but also significantly enhances warmth by preventing the valuable down from being compressed.

Taiwanese factories use a box baffle sewing technique to ensure the down stays evenly distributed, regardless of body movement, greatly enhancing the consistency of warmth. The zipper has a windproof draft collar filled with down. The ultralight design uses even lighter denier ripstop fabric, and to accommodate temperature changes, we’ve designed a dual-direction zipper to control body heat. Additionally, the glow-in-the-dark zipper pull makes nighttime adjustments easy.
