Embrace New Era for Bangladesh Textile & Garment Industry at DTG 2020

The 17th Dhaka International Textile & Garment Machinery Exhibition (DTG 2020) will run February 20-23 at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in conjunction with the 17th Dhaka Int’l Textile & Apparel Accessories Exhibition (DitaTex), Dhaka Int’l Dyeing & Chemical Industry Exhibition (DYECHEM) and Bangladesh International Sewing Machinery & Accessories Fair (BISMA). Jointly organized by Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA) and Yorkers Trade & Marketing Service Co., Ltd., the mega event is the largest trade fair in Bangladesh, gathering more than 1,200 brands from 35 countries and regions.

Ever-expanding exhibition scale

Since its debut in 2004, DTG has become an increasingly significant textile and garment event in Bangladesh, having been acclaimed as the “mini ITMA” as it has annually kept gathering world-class professional brand suppliers. As the largest textile and garment machinery show in Bangladesh, DTG 2020 has attracted world renowned exhibitors from Australia, Belgium, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Romania, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, U.A.E, U.K, U.S.A…etc. The show occupied 1,600 booths in 10 Halls for exhibitors to showcase a wide range of exhibits covering the country’s entire textile and garment production chains from upstream to downstream, including diverse textile and garment technologies, machinery, parts, accessories, fibers, filaments, yarn, fabrics and dyeing stuffs.

Wide-ranging versatile machines from leading international brands

Bright economic development prospect outlook and great market potentials in Bangladesh have driven many international brands to attend the show seeking to develop a better presence and explore more business opportunities in the country. World-famous suppliers CTMTC and MURATA will offer quality spinning equipment; TOYOTA will present state-of-the-art weaving equipment; LISKY and PAI LUNG will exhibit high-caliber circular knitting machinery; while Iconic flat knitting machinery brands CIXING, SHIMA SEIKI and STOLL will present live demos of their optimal offerings. In addition, KURIS and RICHPEACE will demonstrate advanced cutting machines; TYPICAL will display its advanced sewing machines; and M&R, MIMAKI, MS, SULFET and OZ will highlight extremely flexible automatic printing machinery for graphics and textile industries. TAJIMA and ZSK will launch exceptional embroidery machines; GROZ-BECKERT, MEMMINGER and KERN-LIEBERS will unveil leading industrial machine needles; and ACME, BIANCO, DILMENLER and SON-TECH will show quality dyeing machines.

Lucrative opportunities abounding in Bangladesh

Bangladesh is the worlds’ second largest garment exporter after China, and the textile and garment industry has been the key growth driver for Bangladesh exports over the past four years. Readymade garments (RMG) have contributed over 80% of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP). Bangladesh’s substantive GDP growth in estimated at 8.1% for 2019, up from 7.9% in 2018, with another healthy expansion rate of 7.2% projected for 2020 and 7.3% for 2021. Moreover, the garment industry in Bangladesh has benefitted significantly from the lingering trade tensions between the US and China. Indeed, it is now the best time to purchase advanced machinery and equipment, strengthen personnel trainings, and accelerate industrial upgrades and transformations to secure sustainable development of the textile and garment industry in Bangladesh.

Must-attend trade event

The 17th Dhaka International Textile & Garment Machinery Exhibition is a must-attend annual trade event boasting total solutions for the entire textile and garment manufacturing chains in Bangladesh. It is an ideal platform for quality suppliers to demonstrate their latest machinery models, and for textile and garment enterprises to access diverse international and local industrial innovations, get the latest market information and network with key industry players from different domains. To facilitate the interactions between exhibitors and local manufacturers, a buyer networking will also be held on February 22nd.
