Guatemala is located in the Isthmus of Central America. Compared with other production areas in the world, although its land area is small, its diverse micro-climates are breathtaking. Adjacent blocks have different terroir characteristics and each show its own power. Therefore, the Guatemala Coffee Association (Anaca-fe) divides the production area into eight regions: Antigua, Vivitnango, and Acatenan. Guo, Atitlan, Huaihannes, San Marco, Rainforest Coban, New Oriental.
These main planting areas are all located at high altitudes. The soil composition is young volcanic soil (all Antigua, Acatenango, and Atitlan), and a few areas are limestone. In a country that advocates pure water-washed melon, coffee farmers choose to grow delicious and high-quality coffee varieties, such as Bourbon, Caturra, Carduai, Typica, Geisha, etc. Due to raging natural disasters, Guatemala's coffee production has repeatedly plummeted since 2012. In recent years, disease-resistant varieties have gradually begun to be accepted, and processing methods have also expanded from washing to honey processing, solarization and even new processing methods. As the world's coffee industry advances, Guatemala has also begun to gradually advance on the road of innovation.
This batch comes from Vivitnan fruit. The coffee farmers are all small farmers. In order to maintain the stability of product flavor and quality, we adopt a mixed harvesting method and select small farmers from the San Pedro Cooperative, located at an altitude of 1,500 meters. , the planting area is distributed among the mountains and plateaus, the average rainfall falls between 2000-2500mm, the harvest season falls from December to April of the following year, and manual harvesting is used to select mature red fruits.
