Characteristic
The Pavoni Concorso was presented for the first time in 1956 at a design contest organized by the main specialised magazines of the time: Domus, Casabella and Stile Industria.
The designers Enzo Mari and Bruno Munari created it for La Pavoni.
This multi coloured polyhedron, unique in elegance and charm, won that edition of the competition and was nicknamed Diamante for the faceted shape of the aesthetic elements, combining different geometries, sizes and colours.
Raffaella Mangiarotti and Matteo Bazzicalupo of @deepdesign draw on the original design and bring the project by Mari and Munari back to its former glory, modifying the elements that had been replaced over time and the technical details.
A perfect synthesis of style and genius, the Diamantina is presented in its single-group version for the domestic market, remaining faithful to the original aesthetics and renewing itself from a technological point of view. The most accurate finishes and selected materials offer the most demanding public a coffee machine with an inimitable and timeless design.
“True design has not style and fashion; if the object it's right, it lasts forever.” Bruno Munari
