Characteristic
**WS89 (Rating)**
**Grape Varieties:** Merlot, Cabernet Franc

In 1876, Gascon Montouroy founded Château de Lussac. The estate was later taken over by his son-in-law, Marquis de Sercey. In the 1980s, Olivier Roussel acquired the estate, beginning a winemaking journey that lasted about 15 years. In 2000, Hervé Laviale and Griet Laviale became the new owners of Château de Lussac. After taking over, they renovated the vineyards and winemaking facilities and hired the renowned flying winemaker Michel Rolland as the estate's consulting winemaker. Currently, Château de Lussac produces four different wines. Among them, the 2005 Lussac red wine (Château de Lussac) won gold medals at both the 2008 Concours Mondial de Bruxelles and the Concours des Grands Vins de France Macon. The 2011 Lussac red wine also received a gold medal at the 2014 Concours de Bordeaux Vins d'Aquitaine.

**Wine Quality:**
This wine showcases rich aromas of cherry preserves, blackcurrants, blueberries, and raspberry sweets, accompanied by subtle earthy spices and smoky notes. The juicy and bright acidity harmonizes beautifully with the smooth body and fine tannins. The finish is elegant and charming, with lingering fruit flavors and subtle hints of earthy herbal notes.

**Food Pairing:** Grilled spiced pork, oven-roasted ribeye steak.
