Mechanical grippers are commonly used in general automated pick-and-place applications. Traditional grippers have a fixed appearance and can only be used to grip objects of fixed shapes and sizes. If the shapes and sizes of the gripped objects are different, they need to be replaced with different shapes. / size grippers (chucks), or require the use of additional actuators and sensors, which are costly and complex control structures, and traditional grippers are also prone to damage non-rigid targets during the gripping process. The flexible gripper developed by this technology can effectively solve the above problems.
